Social and Economic Opportunities
As we take climate action, we have the opportunity to address social, economic, and health disparities in our communities that are exacerbated by the impacts of climate change.
Environmental justice recognizes the intersection of economic and social injustice with climate change. To further environmental justice in our city and world, MOCEJ is advancing a range of initiatives to ensure New Yorkers can all reap the benefits of a climate adapted future, ensure all City projects and programs advance our climate and environmental justice goals, create and prepare New Yorkers for good green jobs, and transition away from a fossil fueled economy.
When we bring our voices, our action, and our advocacy to our schools, our homes, and our workplaces, we can create a more sustainable and resilient future for the 8.6 million people who call our five boroughs home.Take Action Now
