Economic Impacts of Rising Premiums and Policy Options for One- to Four-Family Homes
In 2017 the City contracted with RAND to conduct a study on the impacts of flood insurance affordability in NYC’s coastal communities and possible policy recommendations to addressing rising flood insurance costs. This study has been instrumental in the City’s work on encouraging flood insurance enrollment and working state and federal partners to identify improvements to the National Flood Insurance Program.
