PlaNYC: Getting Sustainability Done – One Year Later

A year after it was released, the city’s strategic climate plan is delivering on its climate goals and getting sustainability done.

الجميع New Yorkers are experiencing the impacts of climate change, but our low-income communities and communities of color are more vulnerable to the extreme weather events that are becoming more frequent in the five boroughs. New York City, a longtime leader when it comes to climate action, has made significant progress over the last 12 months on the ambitious climate goals laid out in PlaNYC: Getting Sustainability Done, its strategic climate plan. The Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice is delivering for New Yorkers on everything from planting more street trees to alleviate extreme heat to making it easier for residents to adopt renewable technologies and reduce their reliance on fossil fuels. We continue to go after every available dollar to ensure a future New York that is more equitable, healthy, and resilient for all.
