PlaNYC: Getting Sustainability Done – One Year Later
A year after it was released, the city’s strategic climate plan is delivering on its climate goals and getting sustainability done.

New York City, a longtime leader when it comes to climate action, has made significant progress over the last 12 months on the ambitious climate goals laid out in PlaNYC: Getting Sustainability Done, its strategic climate plan. The Mayor’s Office of Climate & Environmental Justice is delivering for New Yorkers on everything from planting more street trees to alleviate extreme heat to making it easier for residents to adopt renewable technologies and reduce their reliance on fossil fuels. We continue to go after every available dollar to ensure a future New York that is more equitable, healthy, and resilient for all.
